The Government of São Paulo is going to present the state’s economic and cultural potential to an estimated audience of 25 million visitors at the Expo Dubai international mega-event. Between October 24th and 31st, the Brazil Pavilion will host the São Paulo Expo Week, during the main event for innovation and creative economy in the world.

São Paulo Expo Week will have artistic, cultural, and sports presentations and will reinforce the state’s vocation for investment opportunities, new ventures, and technology innovation. The Government of the United Arab Emirates invested more than US$ 8.5 billion in Expo Dubai, which started on October 1st and runs until March 31, 2022.

“We will take the most robust project to the Brazilian pavilion at Expo Dubai. An experience that mixes entertainment, businesses and creative economy. We are going to show the strength of the most powerful state in Brazil with a unique participation, the size of São Paulo”, said Gustavo Diniz Junqueira, President of InvestSP, the state agency for the promotion of investments and competitiveness.

Between the 22nd and 29th, InvestSP also brings together a delegation of businessmen from São Paulo on a trade mission to Dubai. With an agenda drawn up at the São Paulo Government office in Dubai, this initiative is going to promote new business between Brazilian and foreign companies and attract investments to all regions of the state.

Creative economy

World Exhibitions are a great opportunity for states and countries to strengthen diplomatic and trade relations with each other. To show the world its best, São Paulo will bring a 96-hour program of presentations to Expo Dubai.

“The event is a window that will give great visibility to show the world the great potential of cultural institutions in São Paulo. It is also an invaluable opportunity to generate employment and income for the partners participating in this edition of Expo Dubai”, reinforced Sérgio Sá Leitão, Secretary of Culture and Creative Economy of São Paulo.

About Expo Dubai

World Exhibitions have been held since 1851, every five years. Dubai was selected in 2013 to host the 2020 edition of the Expo, which was postponed until this year due to the pandemic. With the theme “Connecting Minds and Creating the Future”, the current edition is divided into three axis: Opportunity, Mobility and Sustainability.
