Highlights

Águas de Lindóia: a city characterized by a warm and dry climate whose main attractions are the bathing resorts, with medicinal waters coming from the São Roque spring. This famous bathing resort offers several services, among which, Scottish showers, inhalators, saunas and immersion baths.

Águas de São Pedro: the city has many mineral water springs. Águas de São Pedro offers a crenotherapy bathing resort that attracts people seeking different types of treatments.

Amparo: its radioactive water can be found in the Bocaiana spring, next to Balneário de Bocaina (Bocaina Resort), where there are complete facilities for physiotherapy, sauna, showers, massages and swimming pools. Another must-see attraction is the city's orchid yard, in Silvestre. The orchid yard covers an area of 160,000 square meters where more than 25,000 orchids of all types are grown.

Atibaia: the city is the country's major producer of flowers and strawberries. It is home to a famous strawberry festival held in September in a beautiful park with lakes and woods. The city also has mineral water springs and waterfalls.

Ibirá: all of its springs offer drinking water. Main springs are Ibirá, Carlos Gomes and Seixas. The city also has sulphurous water, which has a number of therapeutic applications. The city's climate is dry during the winter season and hot during the summer.

Campos do Jordão: widely known as the Brazilian Switzerland, Campos do Jordão stretches over Serra da Mantiqueira's valleys. The city, whose altitude reaches 1,700 meters, is spread throughout mountains, woods and many water springs. Characterized by a mountain climate, during the winter the temperature goes down below 0oC. Its architecture (cottage houses) and downtown stores transform Campos do Jordão into the European gathering point of the state of São Paulo. Palácio de Inverno do Governo do Estado de São Paulo (Winter Palace of the Government of the State of São Paulo) is in Campos do Jordão. Palácio Boa Vista, located in a place with an altitude of 1,850 meters, was opened in 1964. Its gardens and hills are full of hydrangeas, glory bushes and cherry trees. The palace also has a diversified collection of works of art from the 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. Among fine art pieces, the palace is home to 13 paintings by Tarsila do Amaral, Anita Mafaldi, Alfredo Volpi, Manabu Mabe, Tomie Ohtake, among others. Guides are available for visits. Serra Negra: it is one of the state's most famous tourist resorts. Thanks to its privileged geologic conditions, Serra Negra has springs of mineral water and a mountain climate.
