Teatro Sérgio Cardoso
Opened in 1980, Teatro Sérgio Cardoso has two rooms: Sergio Cardoso and Paschoal Carlos Magno. The former one has already been stage for many national and international dance performances, theatre plays, concerts and orchestras. The latter one is usually used for presentations of new and unknown groups, that is, it is a space dedicated to experimentation. The theater has excellent infrastructure, and rehearsing and dressing rooms with capacity for big companies. Its technical structure has been conceived to be easily repaired when needed. Its elevators have capacity for tons of equipment and heavy sceneries. During Mário Covas Government, the theater was renovated and today it is ready to welcome the public and artists.
